It's almost impossible to hit Tarver clean consistently, you have to be faster than him to be able to land the errant couple shots. Marciano is significantly slower than him and smaller. I could see Marciano winning a decision, I could actually see Tarver winning a decision, Tarver not getting stopped either way though

Antonio would make a fight of it, he has some crazy elements to his game that Marciano would have never seen and I wouldn't put a decision outside the realm of possibility either way.

I don't think he would have to survive more than 6 or 7 in order to stop the lil feller.

You always ragging on Marciano. He was an excellent, powerful heavyweight champion of the world

Exactly correct. Nobody ever slept Tarver. He was really good defensively and had a great chin. I could see Rocky winning on volume but Tarver and h8s exceptional counterpunching would make it interesting.

Seeing the problems Glen Johnson gave him I’ll say no. But possible he survives for a
    decision loss.

Um, I was a fan of Tarver's. But for all his talents and successes, one thing he never was ... unfortunately ... was a busy fighter in the ring. He picked his shots, more often than not. So he could certainly be outhustled.

I think Marciano overwhelms him with the volume of his shots and eventually stops Tarver ... not unlike the Moore fight.

I don't recall specifically. Just, in general, he tended to wait. Even going back to the amateurs. That's how Jirov beat him in the Olympics. Just outhustled him.

I remember that fight as being a ton of punches being thrown by each guy with Jirov coming out ahead because it was am scoring.
