So is beating Ortiz then drawing with Fury less worthy of a defense than beating Monte Barrett and drawing with Toney?

Is that what we're saying here?

How come all the footage of Wilder is blurry and he's just a faceless thing hiding behind a tree? We can at least SEE Rahman on clear video with lots of lie witnesses.

The US already has far more pro HWs than anyone else though. And its not like they're athletically inferior to other HWs, they're just, for some reason, not doing well these days.

The lions share of HW sized British athletes are in rugby too. I dont think theres any country where boxing is getting prioritized by big athletic guys, its not just a US thing.

I don't agree with the op that you can just dismiss Windmill Wilder's defences.

But what is clear is that right now HW boxing in US is pretty much dead. The only fighter in the top 20 is the 37 year old fat ped cheat Miller and he won't be around that much longer.

    Torrez is very limited.
    Anderson is useless
    Wilder is shot
Ruiz is pretty much retired to the buffet
And Edwards doesn't look that good either tbh.

And simply noone else coming through.

    What a shame.

The last American heavyweight champion with a title defense was Evander Holyfield. Rahman was the champion but never defended it. Unless you're counting paper titles, then why not consider Wilder?
