Who wins? There was a time when i would have said Pryor. Now i think a prime Ortiz would have countered the Hell outta Pryor and taken him apart.
I concur. Ortiz is all kinds of wrong for Pryor, and he'd have picked The Hawk apart. I don't think Ortiz had the same power at 140 as he did at 135 (it certainly didn't affect his opponents like it did at LW), so I'll pick Ortiz by clean cut decision.
Carlos Ortiz was a tactician in the ring, where Aaron The Hawk Pryor had hand speed, was very unorthodox in his moves but would be open for the likes of Ortiz. I see Carlos winning the fight on points as Pryor starts to get frustrated late in the fight, causing several mental mistakes.
This would have been a good match up. Pryor's fast start gives Ortiz trouble early on but I think Ortiz's superior skills get the better of Pryor down the stretch where he wins a close decision.
