He'd definitely make it awkward for Louis. I'm thinking maybe Joe Bugner. Quarry and Lyle would be their own worst enemy.
I don't think I'd expect any to go 15 with Joe. It's possible, sure but I wouldn't put money on a decision.
I too would expect all to succumb but I'd also expect Farr to succumb, if the two hadn't met. It would be interesting to study the fighters that could extend Joe Louis and pick other contender types that might get it done on that basis.
So what does it take to last the distance against Joe Louis? The men who did it seem to have had exceptional durability, combined with an awkward style, or very good defense, combined with mobility. I wouldn't be shocked at someone like Terrell or Bugner doing it.
I go with Ringo because of his herky jerky style plus he took a good punch. Ali’s the only one who ever knocked him out, after paralyzing him with a left hook for the ages
I know Ali s power was totally different to Louis s, but going the distance twice with him proved Bugner had some thing about him. I think he's got a reasonable chance of seeing the end bell.
I dont see Quarry getting anywhere near. he probably busts up and Lyle is a big question mark. wasnt polished enough Bonavena is crude but durable, and not that easy to hit.
My man Quarry was near decapitated by Smoking Joe and didnt go down. This content is protected A man who managed to survive Joe's left hook could well survive anything Joe Louis throws at him.
All of them could. They are exceptional fighters. I think Ringo would definitely go the distance. Quarry would engage too much. Lyle the same, but what fights those would be. Terrell had great physical dimensions and a great jab and could stall to make 15. Bugner I'm not sure.
