Yep.

 

Tucker isn't overrated he had 34 rounds with Lennox, Buster and Tyson and won 14 of them. Tucker won the USBA/NABF double.

Tucker was craftier, more gifted and fought two of the greatest head-to-head monsters in completive bouts. He is more proven.

 

Tucker probably fights scared and gets outworked by Ibeabuchi for a decision loss.

 

Ike is way more overrated. You never hear people say Tucker would have been champion if......he was what he was. Which was a good but not great fighter who beat a few other good but not great fighters.

Ibeabuchi on the other ? He was great to watch and certainly had potential. But many fans will say he was the next great heavyweight had he not gone to prison. I disagree with that. His two best wins were against good, not great limited fighters. Could he have stood up to Holyfield in 1998? Maybe, but who knows. We know Evander would have fought back hard and stood up to bigger punchers. Could he have beaten Lewis in 1999? I seriously doubt it, but who knows. Lewis was bigger, as fast and technically better. Could he have beaten the Klitchkos in the early 2000's? Maybe, but who knows. Vits was much bigger with a great workmate himself. Wlad was far more technical. I would give Ike a punchers chance against wlad, but could just as easily see him outboxed by the younger Klitscho. To many ifs for me. But to hear Ike fans tell it.......lol!

 

Tucker has the ability to win a decision here, but if he gets timid with the pressure Ike puts on him and goes into a defensive shell then he loses. Still he has a chance. Tony was durable and could box. He’d also have height reach.

 

Tucker is very much the bet here, for mine. Ibeabuchi is a "What if?" question.

While it's reasonable to believe he'd have improved with time, had his career not been cut short, Ike was still looking raw and a bit on the one-dimensional side in his actual career.

Tucker had more than enough to outsmart him.

 

Ike by decision. He showed a higher ceiling for me in wins over Tua and Byrd, especially given they were such contrasting styles.

 

Tucker was a very good fighter, excellent size, real good skills, decent punch and a good chin. He is just one of those guys that was missing "IT".
