Now does anyone think that Nigel has a chance here?

Hearns is obviously the more skilled here, but Benn also has the absolute power to turn thing s around quickly.
I think Nige has a shot here, it's definitely not a one sided fight.

    Agreed.

One of those neither guy is going 3-0 in a 3 fight series thing. And I just do not like that Kitchen fight as far as Hearns goes. Like him against Shuler types a lot more than the big hitters.

I could be wrong but Hearns only had 5 fights at middleweight:

L ko 3 Marvin Hagler in a terrific war

Ko 1 Of undefeated Nabf champ James Shuler

W12 One sided beat down of tough fringe contender Doug Dewitt and future WBO champ who would floor Benn before being battered into sumbimission

Ko 4 Juan Domingo Roldan Dropped the rugged middleweight repeatedly before being badly hurt only to comeback and ko his rival.

L Ko 3 Iran Barkley Completedly dominated, had Iran badly cut and hurt from tremendous body shots only to walk unto a sweeping punch that destroyed him.

Barkley would go onto to lose to Duran and Benn in a round (though he hit on the floor and had Benn hurt badly in one of the best one round fights you´ll ever see. Went on to win 2 more titles at super-middle and light-heavy by flooring Hearns and outpointing in a phonebooth war.

Benn was amazing coming up until Michael Watson dismantled him in 6, went to America where he picked up WBO crown from DeWitt before Eubank stopped him in a brutal war.

I think the Hearns from this weight was still cat like fast and went for the kill. If Benn can survive the early rounds he´s going to land. Still I think Hearns would stop Benn in 5 in a war.

I've always fancied Benn in this fight. I have no compelling argument, no binary logic, I just always thought Hearns was the big name Benn should have chased because it would have been an absolute war and I think he'd have won. Benn KO3

Benn. I know he would be at a disadvantage in a lot of the aspects, but he was built for war and Tommy was hittable at the higher weights and I bet once Tommy cracked Nigel good one time and had him staggering, the punches start flowing and Benn finds big openings after surviving an early onslaught. Tommy begins to tire and wear down through the middle rounds and Benn begins pouring punishment on him and gets a brutal late stoppage after Tommy empties the tank trying to get the kill.

Tommy is my favorite fighter of all time, but I don't like his chances against Benn. Benn went toe to toe against the G-Man and prevailed. Tragic fight but it was still a war that Benn managed to win.
