    Lopes is a Brazilian who fights out of Mexico but they obviously speak Spanish in Mexico and Portuguese in Brazil.

    But wait... Spanish and Portuguese are both Romance languages and they share almost 90% of the same vocabulary and Portuguese speakers can understand spoken Spanish much better than the reverse so the transition should've been a pretty smooth one for Lopes
