Best footwork and angles: Orlando Canizales, Vasyl Lomachenko or Bam Rodriguez

    3 terrific fighters known for their incredible footwork which benefited their explosive offense. They all have very similar footwork with the way they used angles and also side step around their opponents to create openings. But who would you say does it the best out of the 3 in your opinion?

    Always thought that Bam is like a combination of Lomachenko and Canizales stylistically.

    While the other two are quite skilled, Lonachenko is on another level and I don’t think it’s that close.

    Loma. With Bam it feels like he forces his angles sometimes. Loma was always fluid.

    Orlando Canizales' footwork cannot be overlooked. His footwork was also phenomenal to watch.

    Canizales has the best footwork I've ever seen. IMO his angles are more technical and efficient than Lomachenkos, but Loma can pop his angles faster, has superior defense and that southpaw advantage

    Yes, and for some strange reason so many can't grasp the fact that had he turned pro at the same age as so many of the other greats did 135 would be like his 7th-9th weight class and that's w/o being a massive weight bully at his first ones. Now imagine what he would've done vs much or smaller fighters? He would've been considered a power puncher

    Prime Loma was such a marvel to watch. Always a pleasure watching his fights. To this day I really wish he stuck around 130 much longer and cleared out that division before moving up. He would have easily ruled that division with an iron fist and we would have seen more of prime Loma toying with fighters. He showed much more vulnerability at 135.

    Who do you think comes close to Loma's footwork between Bam and Canizales?

    He really was. I wish he'd turned pro in his teens at a much lower weight and we got to see so much more of him in the pros and him becoming at least a 7 or 8 division champion and he categorically would of that I am extremely confident

    Obviously Bam-Rod has modelled his style on Loma's and therefore his footwork resembles Loma's more but Canizales' is fantastic too. I doubt Loma ever watched Canizales and developed his style independently but the similarities are plain to see.

    I prefer watching canizales. He glides and floats.

    Loma and Bam are very impressive too.

    Lomachenko for me, overall. Love Canizales' style but he fought far weaker opposition than Loma at his best and honestly didn't really challenge himself, so he didn't really have someone testing his style the way Loma had, especially at 135. Even then Canizales still struggled with guys like Hardy (though he did destroy him the 2nd time). He simply couldn't maintain his style for 3 minutes of every round like Loma could, though he does look better in short spurts imo.

    Bam has some class footwork and really impressed me against Pumita, however his career isn't over yet. We don't know if he'll meet some who'll completely nullify him at some point
