Thunderlips got a whole career, action figures and headbands sold after getting thrown out of the ring by Balboa.

Nigel Benn's more known for losing to Eubank than beating G-Man.

I’d say Hearns is more memorable for his losses to Leonard and Hagler, than Duran is for no mas and Hearns.
When I think of Duran I think mostly of his wins, Hearns I think of mainly for his losses, which is probably unfair as well

    Jess Willard vs Jack Dempsey
    Meldrick Taylor vs JCC
James J Jeffries vs Jack Johnson? This might be harsh, I am a huge Jeffries fan.

    HI guys
    Johnson / Williard
Granted Johnson was the first black HW champ, and fought a mammoth black v white against Jeffries, but the losing Willard fight is still talked about to this day, and has had countless articles about the veracity of the result.
    stay safe guys.
    Mike.

Maybe I’m understanding the thread title which is possible. But I don’t know if I agree with some of these picks. Mike Tyson was certainly not MOST known for his losses. He was more known for being an unstoppable and borderline invincible force that crippled the heavyweight division in the late 80s. Similar observations can be made for some of the other names mentioned in this thread.

that said, I think Ron Lyle is probably best remembered for that unbelievable night he had against George Foreman.
