Although we can say Pryor owned Arguello, we must remember that Arguello was actually the smaller man, considerably past his prime, and had moved up one time too many. Pryor was looked at almost as a joke but I noticed that KO mag had actually favored him in their first matchup. I myself gave Pryor a good chance since he had to be the naturally bigger man. I also thought Arguello was starting to slip, looking shaky in his 1982 bouts If Arguello were naturally bigger, say, a natural lightweight, and 5 years younger, do you think he could have made a successful bid for Pryor's title? Certainly, he would have done better but would need to work on his defense
Going into the later rounds, I believe the 14th, ray Leonard made a very astute comment, saying "where is Pryor getting all this energy?"
