Fury's next move if AJ fight talks collapse?

Fury talks. Good lord does he like to talk.

The combination of cocaine, alcohol and head injuries mean anything he says is subject to falling into "I'll believe it when I see it" category.

He most likely goes on to fight Nelson Hysa and have the rematch we've all been hoping for...That's right, Chisora 4.

Fury will talk some more nonsense before retiring for the sixteenth time to ride a unicycle around Manchester, naked, while masturbating seven times a day.

 

Fury has all the options

Kabayel, Usyk or AJ.

Fury is the man. The big dog. They all want his hot ass.

AJ fight is definitely a sealed deal right now.

 

Fine by me, Fury-Kabayel excites me more than Fury-AJ. If I was to put money on it then I would back Kabayel by no mas stoppage.

Kabayel would be an interesting one. On paper, Kabayel did a much better job on Makhmudov, and Fury will be 38 soon, but Fury is significantly better prime for prime. Assuming Usyk goes for Rico 2, Fury would have the chance to become a 3x champ vs Kabayel, potentially setting up an Usyk trilogy. AJ/Hearn would be left with his d*ck in his hand, fighting Cyril Gane or whoever in another crossover.

This is likely what will happen: AJ & Fury won’t agree due to economics, Usyk will give up WBC belt to rematch Rico. Usyk will beat Rico, Fury will beat Kabayel while the winners of Itaume/Hrgovic and Wardley/Dubois will fight each other. Usyk will fight with Fury and the next winner of this match will fight the WBO champ.

 

Fury has said he won't fight Kabayel due to friendship.

 

Fury will fight to weakest, most shot, most over the hill, oldest fighter he can get away with.

 

The news cycle has already moved past a Rico rematch, sadly for him. Plus the ruling, predictably, came in on the side of the referee.

Who knows what will happen with Kabayel though. The WBC rankings are farce once again of who will make them the most money: Fury @ #1, Joshua @ #5, Rico @ #8. Those rankings certainly aren't based on positive results.

Usyk needs to hurry up and accept the Kabayel fight. Back to back avoiding legitimate challengers won't do his personal legacy any favours either. And yet more maneuvering of chess pieces is just making the division look worse.

Honestly, I think Fury vs Joshua ending up in Vegas is a poetic and perfect final chapter for a fight that has been marred by chronic ego, mismanagement, and politics on both sides for over a decade. One of the greatest shitshows in the history of the sport, definitely in British boxing at least. If it had happened in 2018, it would've been the biggest sporting event in Britain of its generation. Here we are 8 and a half years later with the fight no closer.

The fact that it is meant to be happening so late after the pair of them got smashed to bits by a cruiserweight on multiple occasions, after they've both fought Ngannou in a boxing ring, and after Joshua has fought a YouTuber, is a joke unto itself. But for the fight to be taken away from the UK and put on PPV at 4 am in Vegas is just the chef's kiss to adorn this pathetic chain of events.

I think this latest contractual BS means the fight never actually happens, but shifting it to Vegas would be the perfect cherry on top of this steaming **** pile of a cake that has already light years passed its sell-by date.

The sooner the pair of them are out of the HW scene, the better, really; they've completely held the division/sport up. I'm hoping Itauma blasts Hrgovic away in impressive fashion, so the focus can shift toward a fresh, young, exciting heavyweight who doesn't think the entire sport revolves around him as Fury and Joshua do.
