Both Sugar Rays known for their fantastic offense but their defense get underrated mainly due to their reliance on their reflexes and fast feet. Who would you say was the better defensive fighter and harder to hit clean between the two?

Leonard was a little more defensively responsible, and that will have to do.

Robbi had excellent head movement and Docusen footage and early accounts suggest that he had excellent reflexes and elite defence.

The majority of footage that we have of Robbi shows an older fighter, happy to back his chin and his greater punching power to overcome opponents. At times, Robbi seemingly abandons defence to land his offense - I've seen Leonard catch, parry, block and slip and use his feet. I've never seen Leonard get caught as close to a prime version as what Robbi was in the St Valentine's Day Massacre as some of the stuff that Robbi was hit with by LaMotta.

Without much film on Robinson at his 147 peak weight class I can only say from video that is available Ray Leonard was better defensively and better fighting on the inside.
