I think it should be mandated by the government that everyone who has ever made a slop heavyweight thread must make at least one thoughtful thread about someone below 130 lbs.

 

I'd settle for below 175 pounds. I recently put up a LaMotta - Steele thread, which I thought was a fascinating case with both being well known fighters and almost in the same era so realistically comparable. 3 or 4 responses.

 

Jones gets belted unconscious.

 

Roy isn't stupid, he'd never take the fight Rocky would decapitate him.

 

Roy’s too good. Rocky having a hard time landing and he pays dearly when he leads form brutal counter attacks. Roy wins UD or could stop him late. Rocky will be cut up.

I'm leaving it open for RJJ to do what Morrison did against Foreman.
With p4p RJJ has a better chin than Morrison and Foreman has a stronger punch than Marciano.
For Marciano, RJJ wouldn't be 193lbs (the Ruiz fight), so he would be faster. And the most important thing is how old RJJ would be at the time of the fight.

 

We need another Ali thread in these parts.
