Anthony Joshuas last win vs a top 10

Ruiz probably was legitimately one of the 10 best HWs in the world in 2019. He had a great chin, fast hands, a good combination of youth and experience and his only loss was a close contentious decision vs Parker.

Wallin being legit top 10 circa 2023 is more debateable. He ate from that Fury fight for a long time without doing much else.

In reality, it's 39 year old Povetkin in 2018.

 

I suspect top 20. Going 12 vs Fury and winning a few rounds, schooling Breazeale and outboxing Gassiev, without shipping a KD, counts for something.

AJ had beat him in sparring and amateur bouts previously, which made it more of a mismatch. Wallin was mentally finished after that bad loss and big payday.

You were wrong about Wallin being a top 10 heavyweight thats all that matters. Thats what this whole thread was about. Dubois and Wardley are both genuine top 10 heavyweights no matter how you slice it

I'm a fan of Anthony Joshua, this is realistically the places of eachs of his wins against his opponents in world championships and his last opponents I think the worst ranked opponent was Paul + Ngannou +
Eric Molina in terms of potential but he was a little bit superior than a top 40 at the times when AJ beat him. If you compare with Wilder it's more impressive, and Joshua clearly have a better career. Only the fight with Paul was too much and pretty ridiculous.

 

He will quit again eventually and I give Dubois credit for beating a real top 10 heavyweight. The Wardley win is impressive
