Fury's next move if AJ fight talks collapse?

It's been wobbly since Ruiz 1. I hope that you're right in that it's fixable, because he could still offer some interesting fights.

 

Who is Fury fighting beforehand? Seems like they should have announced who the opponent is going to be by now.

 

Classic Fury. Nothing is ever straightforward with him. He is, and always has been, interested in what's best for himself, not the fans and not the sport in general. Understandable, to an extent, but it means he will often say one thing and do the opposite. It damages your standing with the fans, ultimately, if you talk big and don't deliver on those promises, which is why the tide turned against him in the end.
I don't know what's going on behind the scemes, what's true or not true etc. But I've always been very sceptical that the AJ fight will happen.

 

I thought it was confirmed that they both signed to fight and it was on Netflix, hence the crap tune ups?

 

Fury struggled and lost in many people’s eyes to Ngannou, who AJ flattened.

Novelty fights mean very little

But yeah sounds like a cluster****, hope they get it sorted so we can finally put it to rest.

Difference is that it wasn't Furys latest performance and he went on to do better in two losing efforts v Usyk + a recent cruise control victory over Mahkmudov. Jake Paul was AJs last fight after getting sparked by Dubios. Comparing the two, it's hard to see AJ catching a boxer like Fury when he struggled with a guy half his size.

 

Brit announcers are even worse than the refs and judges.

AJ didn't struggle with Jake Paul, he struggled to cut the ring off against a cruiserweight who was literally running.

Pot kettle black. Fury is finished. Fury usyk 2 was the most one sided 12 round heavyweight championship fight I can remember in a long time. And fury did not look good against makmadov. He's old and lifestyle is catching up.

As far as DDD goes, yeah he murdered AJ. But... AJ got up four times first against huge punches. Fury for a heavyweight is pillow fisted. He isn't knocking AJ out.

A top heavyweight should be able to effectively cut off the ring against someone like that, no matter how fast he runs. If Jake Paul was a world level cruiserweight, then he'd be excused for struggling to pin him down, but he isn't and his most notable win is against a 60 year old Mike Tyson.

 

You're talking as though AJ didn't ultimately smash his jaw in and retire his fake career.

Should AJ be able to cut the ring off far better then he did, absolutely.

Is he going to have to chase Fury like that, nope.
