I followed most of Holyfield's career as it happened and loved every minute of it. Real Deal didn't waste your time or money if you tuned in to see him fight. He might win, he might lose, didn't matter, you knew it would be good. For present day, Bam. What's not to like? I know some think he's overrated -- and he certainly didn't look his best in his last fight (even though he did move up a division and one-shot a world champ) -- but in terms of entertainment? There's no fencing, there's no running, there's no negative fighting, there's no acting like an asshat on social media or in public appearances, there's just a fast, skilled little man with solid power who is there to throw down. He doesn't waste your time or money if you tune in to see him fight.
There I s no one really over the other But I will list the ones that come to my head likely in the order I watched them live in my life (ATGs that fought before I was old enough to watch live not included) Tyson Chavez de la Hoya Holyfield Tua Johnny tapia Mosley Whitaker Mayweather Trinidad barerra morales marquez roy jones jr Cotto Maravilla Martínez Canelo GGG Bud Crawford Lomanchenko Tank Davis David benevidez Innoue Bam Rodriguez I’m sure I’m forgetting many in my bong resin encrusted brain But yall get the idea…
Mayweather, especially young mayweather, but I loved to watch older calmer safer mayweather too. He was just a genius. Nevertheless, Barrera Morales I is my most enjoyed fight ever, and mayweather wasnt there, obviously. The more I think about it the more fighters come to my mind though, you know? there are very different ways to enjoy a boxing match. For every joy I have a fighter I guess. But let's say mayweather.
Ever? James Toney, I have (no longer in great condition), the vast majority of his career from just shortly before Nunn pretty much all the way to CW................then some random HW fights, he's the most extensive library I have. Too bad the DVDs are now in poor shape, not sure I can bring em back...............smh.
