Fury's next move if AJ fight talks collapse?

What's absurd is saying you (or your friend) had it a draw. You lose all credibility if you claim that. The only question amongst the pundits and professionals was how wide it shouldve been. No one questioned whether the result was right at all.


Both Dubois fights might have finished early, but imo they were harder/more uncomfortable fights. Dubois has KO power and so there is always jeopardy.

Against fury, fury came in heavy, wasn't as quick as normal, and usyk battered his body slowing him in even more.

The judge's were unanimous in giving him all 6 of the rounds in the second half. He was in cruise control.

Imagine trying to argue Dubios was a harder fight for Usyk than Fury lmao

 

My friend had it a draw, he was far from the only one and boxrec had it to Usyk by 115-114 or 115-112 depending on the metric. I personally had it as a close but clear Usyk win. Regardless, there were enough close rounds that a draw would not have been an absurd result. And given Fury's assumed A-side advantage, the result was no forgone conclusion. AJ 2 and Fury 1 had judge cards in their favour at the end, and Fury 2 had not got knocked down, or been pinged around the ring for 3 rounds at the end.

In terms of the "KO power" argument, this is more you projecting your own feelings onto the fight. Yes Dubois and AJ punch harder than Fury, so in your mind you can see them lucky punching Usyk at any moment. But the Dubois fights and AJ 1 were still less competitive than either Fury fight.
