Can’t remember the exact nature of the injury but pretty sure I read on here that he got some sort of career ending injury and had to retire unfortunately.
Yes mate I spoke to him couple years back and he had swelling on the brain which needed operated on and then subsequently ended his career.
When I first started on this forum (perhaps only as a reader) U.S. HW Joe Mesi had similar issues I think. Don't know what Joe Mesi is doing now, but he's probably walking around living a pretty ok life as an ex-professional boxer who made some waves in the sport. Sometimes people should quit while they're ahead. Petrovsky retiring due to health concerns at 27 with pro wins over Browne, Johnson and others, undefeated, is a very respectable background to move on from. Smart move IMO.
I am one of his biggest cheerleaders and I hope he does. It already feels like the division has moved past him.
3 local soft touches dealt with. He's got some momentum and confidence back after Hrgovic and Itauma losses. Hopefully he can land a decent fight. Torrez and Parker need a rebound opponent and he fits the bill.
Can we go back to religion being a personal thing please? These knuckleheads preaching from the ring is becoming tedious.
