Heavyweight Underachievers?

If people are going to include Audley, I am going to mention the guy who obliterated him, a guy that if you believe anecdotes hit harder than any heavy of his generation... He of questionable mandible... THEE David Price!

 

Pricey had 12 years on Audley!
Haye had 9
Wilder had 14
Harrison avenged the rest of his defeats bar one!
Audley only has the one real blip on his record !

 

So, Audley was much more experienced. Even more shameful!

 

It's still my opinion that if Corrie Sanders had the dedication of a Klitschko or Golovkin and a promotional team that could get the fights that mattered, he would have been a champion for years and not a 1 hit wonder with his demolition of Wlad.

Tucker. Lost to Tyson in a good fight then disappears. Wasted his best year on the toot . I can remember in the late 80s wondering what had happened . Real shame

 

Yes,basically all the"lost generation ," of heavyweights , including those robbed and ****ed up by King, add Dokes,to the list.

 

I think Bowe had the potential to be an ATG.

Sanders had size, handspeed ,and power,but like Bowe,lacked the dedication.

 

Yes, curious case. Lucky not to die with the amateur team in the Polish plane crash, went over 30 and 0 without cracking the Ring's Rankings. Then beats Broad for usba and a disinterested Douglas for the IBF, gives Tyson a test when others folded up facing him but was forgotton just as fast. Took time off and seemed to start from the back again, i guess because there were so many exciting up and comers making their claims in the early 90s. Looking back his career looks unfocussed and a bit messy.

Greg Page. Another one who trained on doughnuts and didn't take the sport seriously.

All three could've done great things. (Add Terrible Tim to the list too)

All these guys contributed to why Larry Holmes gets the royal treatment on this forum. He showed up prepared and serious like an adult for his whole career.
