He should retire but there isn't much money in the lower weight classes (aside from in Japan I guess), hopefully he can end his career on a high note and build up some retirement savings

He can serve himself up on a platter for the Japanese prospects, or he can earn a couple of months average salary by beating up his fellow countrymen.
He was on a pretty solid win streak, beating up nobodies in Thailand, before taking a crack at a Japanese prospect. I think he will do just fine in his little comeback.

Interesting his last performance in comparison with the last performance of Estrada / Kazuto Ioka was not so bad.

But his last wins performances Guangheng Luan and Wuttichai Yurachai was not good at all, he was a shadow in the ring very slow and not powerful like before.

I just hope that he will be back at 118-115 lbs and not 122 lbs, if he stays at 122 lbs I just hope NKL will make the rematch against Navapon Khaikanha, he is a very declined boxer also but the fight will be still very competitive I think.

Nevertheless, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai has given us something to dream about; he wants to end his career with a third fight against Chocolatito in Thailand. It remains to be seen if Chocolatito, who is nearing the end of his career, will accept the fight.

Very good his opponent will be a rematch against Sukpasried Ponphitak (Sukkasem Kietyongyuth) they have the same age, and their first fight Sukkasem Kietyongyuth was beating him by decision he was far more skileld before to be injured with his shoulder in the 5th round it was on October 2023.

The first fight between Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (Wisaksil Wangek) and Sukpasried Ponphitak (Sukkasem Kietyongyuth) (put the timer at 33:41)

Sukpasried Ponphitak (Sukkasem Kietyongyuth) is the former IBF number 5 Ranked in Bantamweight and a former boxer of Kiatkreerin Camp / Jimmy Boxing Gym the same than Aran Dipaen, now since 2020 he is independent.

It's not Sukpasried Ponphitak he was replaced at the last minute by Komgrich Nantapech "Eaktwan BTU Ruaviking" also a veteran and also a former boxer of Kiatkreerin gym.

Well it's not a good performance by Srisaket Sor Rungvisai... because Komgrich Nantapech was notified at the last minute for the fight. And the same Komgrich can't not stand more than two rounds with a 50 years almost 51 years old Toshihiko Era.

So for Srisaket Sor Rungvisai who can't not finish that type of opponent at 118 lbs, it's very very bad.

It's the 66th professional wins in boxing for Srisaket Sor Rungvisai at 39 years old !

I think the Thai legend can take his retirement now.

Personally when I think of Rungvisai it is not these matches in his later career that will come to mind, rather it is the legendary wins against Chocolatito and Estrada. So it is for the sake of his health and wellbeing, rather than his legacy, that I really hope he hangs up the gloves.
