Point is that Hrgovic wasn't exactly facing top opposition back then either.

Hrgovic is gonna find out the hard way that there's more to being tough than blocking punches with your face when Itauma batters him across the ring.

There is no point because Hrgovic isn't 21. Hrgovic didn't say "I was doing more at your age", that was not his argument. It is that he is vastly more experienced than Itauma right now, and that so far Itauma has not been tested outside sparring.

We will see how it plays out but I give Hrgovic a better chance than most of exposing the hype. He has always come to win, and never been an easy out for anyone.

I think Itauma blasts him out, and his detractors will claim that he hasn't really proven anything and needs another test.

Hrgovic has a habit of getting lazy when things don't go his way.

Itauma needs a much better trainer than Boxercise Ben. I think he will get away with it against Hrgovic, but if he gets right to the top and ends up in there with a Kabayel or Dubois, or someone of that ilk, even someone who is showing a lot of promise now, like a Teremoana or Dronov in a couple of years, then having Boxercise in his corner is going to be an enormous disadvantage. It could easily be the difference once he is competing for world titles.

Itauma failed to knock out two non-elite fighters with exceptional chins, spare me the nonsense that he will knock out Hrgovic early because that won't happen and spare me the nonsense that Itauma wasn't the same fighter back then as he is now.

Hrgovic only win of note is Zhang. He hasn't really done anything with his career.

Hrgovic was taken the distance by a guy Itauma knocked out in two rounds, so it works both ways.

Hrgovic stopped him in the 12th to be fair

Anyone that thinks Itauma blast out Hrgovic is absolutely delulu.

He might win and win well but there is no way this finishes early.

Hrgovic is way too tough and also skillful enough to not be bossed around.

It’s 100:0 odds because of the circumstances.

in a fair fight I’d still say Itauma is 60:40 favourite.

Itauma blasting Hrgovic out inside 3 rounds would shock me.

Hrgovic blasting Itauma out inside 3 rounds would not lol

He's improved considerably since the 6-rounder against Espindola.

Unknown quantity Zhang is a vastly better win than Franklin. Old Joyce is a much better win than Franklin. Adeleye is a better win than Franklin. Dubois for a world title is a vastly better opponent than Franklin.

It's possible that he suffers an early British stoppage I wouldn't rule that out. Hrgovic and his team better have a good look and good chat with the ref before the fight. Hrgovics sometimes weird body language and behavior in the ring will give them ample opportunity. I hope he's wise to this.

I wouldn't rate Adeleye or old Joyce over Franklin. If there is a gap there it's miniscule.

Franklin arguably beat the same Whyte that Fury fought and went the distance with a version of Joshua that was still blasting our guys like Wallin and Helenius.

It's a push to say the Adelaye win is better and the Dubois fight wasn't for the world title

    He was awarded it afterwards
