Am I the only one that didnt really like the sportsmanship between Chimaev and Sean? Fight had one of the most intense build ups of recent times, only for it to culminate in them being even more friendly then they normally would be to an opponent with eachother. It reminds me of when two people have been put in a situation where tensions rise very high, both people publicly act inflammatory and belligerent to each other put up a front for their peers, but deep down neither one actually wants real problems and so at the slightest break in the tension they both pile on that opportunity and then become extra friendly with each other in order to squash the tension altogether. I like and appreciate sportsmanship, but when someone has said the things that Strickland said to Chimaev, his people, his religion, his mother, ect. Then you turn around and tell the guy you love him during the fight and being extra friendly, idk... I prefer realness over sportmanship. Chimaev was either in straight wwe mode pre fight where he knew everything that was being said was all acting and so none of it mattered at all, or really wanted to avoid out of the cage altercations with Sean going forward, or... idk lol. I dont know quite what to make of it. Much prefer Morales/MAB, Khabib, ect type mentalities.
Did you watch the fight just before that is the best the UFC has to offer that was an absolute banger?
That was my argument on the night with friends. I don’t care if you’re landing the odd kick here and there and uppercut to the body Vs mainly straight punches. If he’s out landing you by 10/15 strikes every round and they are doing similair damage there’s only 1 winner
That Rizin 53 card was awesome.Anybody seen it? Rizin for me is better than UFC now. Hiramoto bros with big wins.Luiz Gustavo wins the belt.Great times.
Whatever that organization is needs to be shutdown. They let that guy fight instead of banning him or suspending him / taking his pay, AND they allowed a concussed fighter to fight.
Tom Aspinall fought once in 2024, once in 2025, and now might fight once in 2026 if hes lucky. Unreal.
Yeah because Jon Jones + the UFC stuffed him around for a good 18 months then Cyril Gane Gouged his eyes out which set him back another 6-8 months but now he's ready to resume. Blame the criminals NOT the victim.
