SOB Ward gets beat down, and cannot compete. He's a total hype job.

He would kick the hell out of Archie in the early 1940s though, think about that.

    Lol.

Ward did not have the footspeed to bother Louis. Louis would knock him out of the ring.

Charles beats him, as does Moore. And even the early version of Marciano would give him a beatdown.

I was being kind to Ward. :) A good shot to me means real likely win.

In the early 40s, wasn't he a middleweight?

    Let me get this straight.

The same Andre Ward who got dropped hard by the right cross of Kovalev is gonna beat Joe f**kin Louis, the man with the greatest right cross in boxing history.

    Cool story.

Louis would execute Andre Ward. Stop with these ridiculous questions.

You can look at boxrec for this but off the top of my head he was in the 170s by 44 and SMW by 42. He fought middleweight that entire time though or at least prior to 44.

    However, boxrec.

Moore was a middleweight through 42 or 43 … even then I see nothing of award, who I deeply respect, to guarantee a victory over Moore … no way the late 40’s prime Moore

This absurdity about how the sport has evolved really looks stupid in this thread ..Archie had over 200 fights .. Ward had about thirty … the quality of opposition is not close to comparable … funniest is Ward was not exceptionally fast , strong or hard hitting but smart and crafty … whatever
