At 154, Boots absolutely beats Mosley. His only big win at 154 is a drug-fuelled battering of Margarito, who was a very favourable style for Sugar Shane. Quartey never did much of anything at 154 but would be favoured at 147. Boots probably has the tools to beat Vargas. Trinidad could also play to Boots' strengths and wasn't especially iron-chinned but I wouldn't favour Boots outright. It's hardly cut and dry though that Boots would lose to all of those fighters, especially at 154.
It would be similar to the Mosley fights. Boots would have a hard time getting through Winky's impenetrable defense and would be eating jabs and left hands all night.
His resume at 154 is arguably better than both. Hearbs had fits with fighter with elite jabs and inside fighting McAllum would have an easier time against Winky than Hearns would. As great as Hearns was, he's kinda overrated.
Its the same thing ive said about Ward, Crawford, Loma and Bivol. These guys look the part but never actually fought wlite competition to get the benefit of the doubt over other great fighters
With Mosley, Boots would have never seen speed like Shane's lol. Mosley was very aggressive with his movements and punches one of them left hooks would have Boots lookin up
