Worse Opponent For Joe Frazier ?

Of the two offered, I think Tua is worse for Frazier.

 

Tua might be marginally more problematic but Joe cold-cocks both of them

 

I just checked and the mods have not even deleted the first thread I asked them to delete. And that was seventeen years ago.

 

There may be some value for Frazier to get close to a big dude like Ruddock and to suck up his space, crowding him. There is no value whatsoever in trying to do the same to Tua.

 

Ruddock, can’t miss the poor guy with that “smash”.

They’d each get ultimately run over. Ruddock might score a kd but Joe was just too good. Ruddock out in 9 Tua pummeled UD

 

Joe has a better chance with Ruddock. Ruddock has size but not very good. just slightly superior to Bonecrusher Smith

His size would enable him to smother Joe's attacks and absorb the punches of the smaller man.

I could see Joe getting a decision

whereas against Tua, Joe would immediately be obliterated. Joe last's 3 rounds at most but I wouldnt be surprised if it ended in the first round or two

It's good advice but I'm not capable of this. It's why I spend my free time on a boxing forum.

 

I think Joe beats them both. He might have to weather a few rocky moments, no pun intended but if he gets out of the first three he finds his rhythm puts his foot on the gas and beats them with that spectacular metronomic body head tattoo of brutality he exemplified at his best. Tua lasts the distance and is competitve till the end, Ruddock also lasts the distance but looks, and feels like he has been in an industrial drier with a sack full of rocks afterwards. FOC Frazier is too much too much for either man.
