Usyk vs Wilder would be a decent sendoff

    - Wilder poses little threat but there will always be a sense of "What if Wilder lands a perfect right hand?" to market the fight

    - It's a big payday and a high profile fight in the United States, likely for Dana White's new "Zuffa" belt: Oleksandr The Great Usyk's last dance vs the last chance for America's fallen HW king

    - Wilder is one of the biggest boxers of the era, a probable future HoF (like Fury and AJ) and America's No.1 HW this century thus far, coming off a good win

    - Wilder will be 41 but Usyk will be 40-odd and coming off a poor performance, which arguably makes the fight more legitimate prime-wise than Lewis vs Tyson was

    - Wilder would be Usyk's 7th unique HW opponent post-Bellew

    - If Usyk stops Wilder, he will have done something that only Zhang accomplished in Wilder's previous 5 fights and 5+ years, and only Fury accomplished in Wilder's 45 fights prior to that

    Zero issue with this. This should have happened over a year ago. He should have relinquished his belts and then went on to fight those mickey mouse fights.

    I won't pay a PPV for this but i will gladly watch the replay. No problem with former champs who want easy fights to make money. Just don't hold up the division.

    It's not a decent send off, it's an utterly pointless and uncompetitive fight.

    You may as well make the case for exuming the corpses of deceased heavyweight champions and have Usyk fight them for prestige.

    It would have been better if Usyk defended his titles against Kabayel - the number one challenger in the division. Instead of a washed up version of Deontay for some stupid, made up belt.

    If Usyk actually had "nothing left to prove" Usyk v Wilder would be a fun totally ok title defense. Only the circumstances make it a problem.

    The reason Usyk collecting wins over former champions is so problematic is those champions didn't prove they were the class of the division.

    The Dosser inexplicably accused Usyk of being a cheat and Usyk would be doing God's work again by administering another biblical shellacking to that ridiculous baffoon

    It's always an absolute privilege and pleasure and just thoroughly amusing to witness The Dosser be on the receiving end of an almighty ass whoopin' and I for one will never grow tired or bored of it.

    And I would actually give this version of The Dosser a better shot of beating this version of Usyk than if they were both in their primes because Usyk's speed, reflexes and reaction times are a pale shadow of what they used to be and he's also become a lot more stationary. The Dosser wouldn't lay a glove on a prime Usyk and it would be embarrassingly one-sided

    And Usyk can do whatever and fight whoever the hell he wants in his last fight or few fights now that he's vacated all the belts, has achieved everything there is to achieve and clocked boxing and will turn 40 soon and he has thoroughly earned that right

    After Wilder beat Chisora this fight isn't as bad as it would have been before, but it's still shyte.

    So we’re happy to see the Heavyweight king Usyk drop all his belts to avoid 3 mandatory fights in Kabayel no3 Gassiev no5 Sanchez no 11 and then fight the shot Wilder no20 and most slated Heavyweight on this forum ! (current Boxrec rankings),anybody else on here would be ripped to bits for pulling this,it’s not even n an argument.It’s so annoying tbh because I thought Usyk was all about legacy and honour and different to the rest but we’ve had mandatory’s ignored,crossover fights and now all the belts dropped. There are three stages to Usyks career, Oleksander the Great going Undisputed Cruiser and Undisputed Heavyweight,Greedy Rabbit taking a cross over fight whilst holding the Division up and going back on his word after making a deal with the WBC and then we have Riddick Rabbit dropping all his belts to avoid all the mandatory’s.Usyk could yet even move to Zuffa,time will tell . Correct me if I’m wrong but iirc no other Heavyweight Champion in history has dropped all the Belts and continued with his career !
