Assuming this is at 154 since Norris didn't really fight at any other weight, I'm leaning towards Norris but with that said, Norris had a nack for losing fights that he should win. You just never knew when he would get DQed or KOed in a shocking manner. Too me, Oscar was far better at 147 and below. He had some solid wins at 154 and certainly had the power in his left hook to get rid of Norris bur prime Norris was an absolute handful athletically. I have to favor his talent but I wouldn't argue much with anyone that liked Oscar. Norris let me down more than once, that's for sure.
Norris. Blowout and perhaps real early since Terry liked establashing himself immediately. This match was talked about and could have been made for years. Norris sure wanted the big payday. But it was so tough to get Arum and King together for big bouts beecause one of them is going to lose.
Now I will say had it happened when both were fighting at 154 in the late 90's. I would take Oscar. Norris was pretty shot by that point. Prime Norris was early 90's and that was a way different fighter. Early 90's Norris was a beast!
Intriguing matchup. Norris had the speed, power, and size to give ODLH real problems, might even deck him. BUT, I also think Norris was too game for his own good, because his chin was his weakest link, and anyone who Oscar caught on the jaw with those vicious hooks/hookercuts got hurt. Fun fight. I lean towards De la Hoya by KO but you never know.
