Usyk vs Wilder would be a decent sendoff

I think this fanciful. Fans aren't really going to boycott a non-title fight.

Have Wlad Klit vs Wilder with the winner fighting Usyk.

I am going to throw out there that someone on Youtube, it might have been Hatman but I don't remember, said that Usyk's Ukrainian fans who actually understand what he said think he has no intention of leaving after one more. That was like two days after he announced, I just forgot to say anything.

My wild speculation is that if he does team-up with Dana White and Zuffa, there is going to be an effort to revive American boxing, and they will have him fighting Wilder, Ruiz, Miller...and whoever else they can did up of interest in America (I admit I can't think if anyone else).

I know what you mean, I just think we are far too accepting of meaningless fights. Particularly when they only fight once or twice a year.

But he doesn't have titles anymore. He can do as he likes. No one cares. The fight is over...Usyk threw in the towel to the fan's wishes.

It would be a ceremonial cap to the 2010-2020s era in HW boxing.

Having Fury, AJ and Wilder on his record will look very snazzy.

its a noble idea and while i am not against it, i doubt it will work.

Usyk himself is not a huge name in the US. Someone like Torrez Jr is marketable - young, good looking and hard hitting. But he brutally lost to Sanchez.

Anderson, too, had some potential but looks not interested in boxing.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing Usyk vs Wilder and Usyk vs Ruiz. Interesting stylistic match ups even though the outcome is never going to be in doubt. But Ruiz and Miller aren't big names in the US and Wilder has lost too many times.

Sadly Wlad destroyed the popularity of heavyweight boxing in the US.

I agree but it does give them the credibility of using the linear champ, even if he has some sort of emeritus status.

I think he fights Wilder or someone easy in Zuffa in order to bring "the lineal title that Louis, Ali, and Tyson once held" over to Zuffa. This instantly gives them massive credibility. Suddenly Zuffa is real boxing and the alphabet soup are the pretenders.

Usyk will get massive paydays with the understanding that he continues fighting under Zuffa until he loses. Usyk retiring undefeated doesn't do much for Zuffa. They need the linage.

Deontay Wilder being in his forties makes me feel like I should just die soon.
