Would Kabayel beat Rico with body shots like Makhmudov, Sanchez and Zhang?

Kabayel would annihilate Rico, who objects to this ? I really want to know

Rico isn't an unfit static target like those guys are. So no I'd wager that at the very least he gives him a tougher fight.

 

He'd try to. I stick by my theory that for whatever biomechanical reason, he can throw a lot harder to the body than to the head, leading to the way he fights. I'd wager his body shots are as hard as anything that Dubois or AJ can throw to the body.

That's a bit of a stretch. Top ten isn't exactly full of talent atm

 

that's an absurd statement to make considering his performance against Usyk. Usyk might be getting old but he's still the best fighter in the world until proven otherwise. He just spanked Dubois around the ring 12 months ago much worse than he did in the first fight.

I felt Rico fought a perfectly crafted and executed fight vs usyk. I am not trying to take anything away from Rico whose performance surprised me.

That said Usyk rocked Rico in round 4 and gassed a little selling out for the finish. Then in round 11 he opened up again and rocked Rico

I think a fully trained and conditioned Kabayel sustains his attack and breaks Rico down. Rico is awkward but now there's footage of him. Kabayl is also bigger and stronger than Usyk and won't be rushed and smothered like Usyk was. Rico would pay a higher price charging in.

My only question is does Rico change his strategy and approach vs Kabayel? Can he fight effectively another way?

 

I agree. I think Rico is the favourite against most based on that performance alone.

 

Of course he'd change his strategy. He has an excellent trainer in his corner.

The question is can Kabayel come in with a game plan and adjust.

 

Nah mate. What you don't realize is that Rico has had one fight and has been figured out now and can never change styles or adapt. This is why guys like Dubios and AJ will KO him.

 

I agree, but I still think Usyk underestimated Rico and didn't prepare for that fight at all, so I wouldn't say that fight was a true yardstick...
