    both at their peak 135 - 140

    I favor Oscar over mildly talented Buchanan. Ken barely survives and hangs on to lose a UD. The difference is Oscar's blazing hand speed, combinations and power

    Not sure. Buchanan is certainly a live underdog in this fight.

    I consider ken about where Greg haugen was when he was fighting, both similar in ability
    the fact that Ken was heading this division at the time tells us something about the division itself. It was a weak division with a lack of talent. same as in Pernel's time, the division was devoid ot talent

    This is a horrible match up for Oscar, kind of unfair, because I think he would do well against historical lightweights with that left hand at that particular weight...and we've matched him here with maybe one of two or three guys who would have been able to firmly out-jab him :lol: Nay luck. Buchanan in a thriller that catches fire when Oscar tries to change up.

    Oscar was something of a weight bully at 135. He was a big dude for that weight and would have at least 3 inches of reach and could switch up leading with jab or hook. Ken best not anticipate the former and receive the latter. I do see this as being competitive but think that Oscar would pull away in the latter rounds.

    I believe Buchanan was the better fighter at 135 and he'd frustrate Oscar and take a UD in the 144-141 range.

    Buchanan if same day weigh in (possibly on the scales), ODLH, complete with a c.15lbs weight advantage, if day before weigh in.

    Kenny outclasses Oscar, ESPECIALLY if its a 15 rounder. The gap in stamina is bigger than any edge Oscar has. Buchanan also had a huge edge in ring IQ.

    Calling Ken Buchanan "mildly talented" to me is just bizarre. I don't think I would even damn Greg Haugen with such faint praise.
