Archaic comment. Sonny was born July 1930. He was 33 in Clay 1 and 40 when he died. Get up tp snuff if you want to hang with boxing history.

You need to disassociate from Patterson. Ken was MUCH bigger and stronger than Floyd so Sonny would not have come out bombing but rather taken his time stalking and picking his shots before going for the KO.

 

You've made cogent comments. If Liston didn't shock Ken early into fear and retreat mode allowing Ken to get into his groove and start taking it to him, then beyond having Sonny's same weight and strength, Ken's superior stamina and will (a la Ali, Holmes, Young fights) would start working greatly in Ken's favor beyond round 2 and I agree round 8ish on target for Sonny to deflate in lungs and mind.

 

Norton does not have the chin to beat Liston.

 

Norton was a marginal boxer but an exceptional athlete. He could take a lot of punishment and last the distance. But if he stands in front of Liston, he's getting KO's by mid rounds. I don't see him outboxing Sonny over 15 rounds. Either way, I have Liston by mid-round KO.
