I have always had a gut feeling that Joe Bowker would be incredible to watch, I mean the man was prepared to walk & take lifts from farmers on horse & wagon along the 200 odd mile trek from Lancashire in NW England down to London Town in the South to get to the Hub to embark on what became a Top Boxing Career...

a British Grapes of Wrath kind of story to help envision the time period and mostly Rural type of living taking place everywhere...

Tough & Hardy men & fighters. I think he would impress.

The technical perfection of Joe Louis would be my very 1st pick.
Especially his destruction of Schmeling....

Tom Cribb vs. Jem Belcher, 44 rounds, 1807. Sounds like a spectacle.
Jack Johnson vs. Joe Choynski, the fight that taught Jack Johnson the sweet science.
Sam Langford vs. Jack Johnson, I would need to see if Sam really was robbed as he claimed.
Greb vs. Tunney or Walker

Langford was not robbed against Johnson. He was beaten quite badly, although Sam showed his vaunted chin, toughness, and durability. Nevertheless, every single local newspaper that covered that fight talked about how horribly beaten Langford was. Johnson did everything but knock him out.
