If Wlad beats Kabayel at the age of 50, how does it affect his legacy?

Winning a fight at 50 is impressive.
It also makes this era look weak. So it's going to knock down this eras champs.
Being for a paper belt lessens it a bit. Foreman's knocking out the actual champion was better.

But given Wlad's lengthy reign and then the added achievement of oldest belt holder, it would put him up there among in the upper section of greats.

    Hahaha

I have Usyk as a top 5 heavyweight ever

    Hes obviously ducking Agit Kabayel

You have to be a delusional to not think this

He literally vacated the title to not fight the guy after Kabayel had gotten in the ring with him

You're just jealous of Usyk's achievements.

Wlad beating Kabayel would be the greatest comeback story in the sport. I hope it doesn't happen, and I think that boxing needs to do a lot more to stop fighters being able to fight once they hit 40, but if it theoretically did happen and Wlad won, he'd have to go into the top 5. It'd be a remarkable achievement. Realistically though, I think he loses quite horribly.

The thing that makes it unbelievable is the time off not the age. I would be flabbergasted.
"I have Usyk as a top 5 heavyweight ever"

    "Hes obviously ducking Agit Kabayel"

Well those are two sentences I never thought I'd see go together.

I am absolutely certain that the fully realised Wladimir is an all time great. he just never got to show it.

That does not mean I rank him top 5 though.

You would have to make some spot in the top ten for him, but not top five.

I think that is debatable due to the early losses, the general lack of decent competition, the splitting the era with his brother, and the negative, sometimes borderline illegal style.

I am not strongly insisting that he is not, because he also has the 17-23 defenses, depending on how you count, but there are enough good heavies so that I think it is debatable.

The second half of his career he fought the same style as seventies Ali, Holmes, Lewis, etc.

It would solidify him as one of the alpha all time greats. Why would that even be a debate?

The German Hero Kebabyal would be demoted and Wlad would be German Hero again.
Also, the entire audience would be rooting for Wlad, which would be hilariously ironic.
This is the most interesting fight in boxing right now.
Hopefully Wlad can get time off from defending Ukr with his assault rifle and do it.
If Zhang can drop Kebabyal, then Wlad might also find the big fat head of this plodder with a RH or LH, especially if Kebabyal wants to stand in front of him like he did versus Zhang.
It's just that nobody really knows what Wlad 50 looks like in the ring now.

So was 90's a weak era since a 45 year old Foreman became the actual champion?
