I wonder if that really repeats itself. They have to find a way to make itauma save energy. In that fight itauma fought like a madman. He was moving and throwing A LOT.

Because he is so sturdy built it is easy to miss that he is actually as heavy as joshua. And when did anyone see joshua throw powerpunch after powerpunch for 5-6 rounds?

I think itauma is nervous when he gets in the ring and his way to overcome this is to throw and move a lot. It's like when I go swimming and hate the cold water and just have to excert a lot of energy instantly to get warm. It's not sustainable and they should fix that soon. Then I think he can go 12 rounds like anyone else

At this point in Itauma’s career there are still more questions than answers, hopefully Hrgovic is able to answer some of those questions.

Agreed. Kind of reminds of Price a bit with that.

But Hrgovic is easier to hit than Franklin.

Depends if Hrgovic has improved his own dodgy stamina...

Sure, it looks like it might be a weakness for Itauma, but Hrgovic isn't necessarily the best placed to take advantage given his own issues in the same department?

Not worried about his stamina as much as I am with some of his weird in ring ticks. Could easily see him getting British stoppaged with some of that weird body language of his.

To those who really believe Hrgović can beat Itauma: I’ve got a bargain statue on Liberty Island in New York — I’ll let it go for a good price.

Hrgovic isn't exactly Mr. Iron lungs himself, but he should (theoretically) be more efficient at conserving his energy expenditure due to experience.

Man, Franklin was begging for that uppercut the way he leaned into range. Maybe the extra rolls of lard fatigued him, I don't know.

There's a more realistic way to look at this. If you're that confident of Itouma winning, put all your life savings into a bet. Plenty of online betting sites that will accommodate you. Easy money right?

It's almost as if some posters have never seen a highly rated prospect fail to quite make it through all the steps up before, isn't it?

I'm not saying I expect Hrgovic to win, but there are still some proper unanswered questions about Itauma that make it crazy to put the house on it, as you intimate.

Take the fight in the later rounds and be as dirty as hes ever been before (which is saying a lot)

Hrgovic has a solid gas tank. What he doesn’t have is good management of it. He just throws until he gasses. The guys who are good at stamina management like Fury know that if you are starting to feel tired it’s already too late, and that you recover more quickly before you ever get to that point.

I don’t need to put money on it to prove what I already know. But make no mistake: Itauma is going to put Hrgović down at least once in the first three rounds, and he’ll finish him inside five.

If he has a solid gas tank, there'd be a lot more evidence of it... He throws a reasonable amount, albeit without real power - then gasses.

I don't see that it's all about management - though he could probably do better with what he has... It's not without compromise, though.

Queensberry aren’t going to let a golden goose they’ll be cashing in on for years get derailed. Itauma is not losing to Hrgović — no chance. The only question worth asking is whether Hrgović takes the dive inside three rounds or survives long enough to get sparked inside five.
