If Wlad beats Kabayel at the age of 50, how does it affect his legacy?

He looked surprisingly good against Briggs.

That would set a new record and make him a THREE TIME HW Champion. To go along with 23 total title defenses and an Olympic Gold Medal. Man… haven’t really given this possibility any thought until now but winning the WBC at 50 would definitely put him in the top 5 ATG heavyweights. That resume is just too stacked not to!

His right actually still looks pretty damn sharp judging that recent sparring video. If Wladimir still has even 80% of the power he had against Joshua then his chances are VERY good.

If Wladimir somehow found the fountain of youth for this one and has the same power as he had in his prime with Steward… I’d comfortably bet on him knocking out Agit in 4 rounds.

You'd almost certainly lose your money because Wlad never stopped anyone above Ray Austin level inside 4 rounds, and Kabayel has survived and beaten some dangerous guys.

Wlad's not going to do anything. He was stopped by AJ nearly 10 years ago now, schooled by Fury before that. Hasn't fought anyone since then. Kabayel would stop Wlad inside 3, which is why the old man will stay retired.

Wrestling made the Povetkin fight controversial in particular. Another ref could have easily DQ'd Wlad.

The whole question is moot because it won't happen. Not in this or any universe. If Wlad stepped in the ring with Kabayel, he'd get punished .... even with Kabayel trying to be nice to him.

If common sense prevails, this idiotic idea of a fight won't happen .... which is a good thing.

Any 50 year old getting hit full pelt by Kabayels body shots is gonna be bleeding inside

Crazy move if it ever happened

Well...there were certain fights, and I am thinking about Povetkin, where some said that he should have been disqualified. At lest got a warning and made to fight right

It would be a scathing indictment of the current condition of the heavyweight division

He really didn't use his right a lot towards the end of his title reign. Got a lot of guys with the hook.

And yet he was mentally destroying his opponents in the ring.

Can you provide evidence that Povetkin's team "Chose the referee"?

They won a purse bid and staged the fight, so they were responsible for picking the ref too. Wlad's team had to agree of course.
