Don't know if this has been posted before but an absolutely crisp and clean copy of this bout. Very competitive. George certainly has his moments but loses the battle of distance, keeps trying to hook a guy bobbing on the vertical plane and never establishes his jab. At this point Frazier was a very hard nut to crack, to say the least. And he inflicts so much facial damage in such a short time it would make Dempsey shudder. Great stuff. This content is protected
Great, yes crystal clear, better than many current “live” transmissions. Chuvalo, certainly shook him a couple of times, but yes, despite, having a good jab, couldn’t keep Frazier at bay. Not many could!

The video is clean but was its speed decreased or both boxers are just slow as snails? Both of them looked bad and amateurish as well.
Interesting. Tbh, I also thought they appeared a touch slower than in other raw footage but apparently AI upgrading (creating and inserting more frames in between the orig. frames) from say an orig. 24 to 30 fps to 60 fps shouldn’t have a slowed down effect. With fuller frame rates, the movements should simply appear that much more fluid and smooth. Perhaps other features to the clean up process might slow action down a bit or at least give the illusion of same? I’m not sure. Subject to the accuracy of the measurement I recall that Jim Jacobs used the then currently used frame rates to compare and conclude that the speed of Frazier’s left hook was basically on par with the speed of Ali’s jab. At any rate, beautiful footage nonetheless.
The speed is accurate and Frazier had too much of it hand and foot for Chuvalo. Also George was very stiff while Frazier was like a glob of jiggling rubber. That allowed Frazier to move into advantageous positions quickly while George was stuck in the same spot and exposed. This did show Chuvalos toughness and strength was undeniable as he fought back hard. He actually backed Frazier up and forced him to go outside and box. Quarry and Elllis who got some hard shots in against Frazier and were more talented then George were not able to force Frazier outside like he did so let’s give him credit at least for that.
