Patterson, Frazier, Ali & Foreman in the ring together

I have seen this before. But now it’s sad that none of them are left including Dunphy. Will we ever get another chance at this sort of era? Unfortunately I doubt it. All great champions.

 

George was notably playful with Ali in kind - letting his mean, heavily Liston- influenced veneer/mask down for a moment.

Their first fight was so bitter because of outside forces ... really about as bitter as FOTC in some ways ... but by their second fight Ali and Patterson were OK with each other and my understanding is they had a good relationship late in life. Same with Foreman. It was only Joe who took the grudge to his grave.

Was that the one with Bonavena handing jacket to Joe Louis so he can challenge Ali to fight.

Cool of George to note that he got to shake hands with Patterson for the first time and praised him.
