Family and friends have tried to stop him. He just won't listen. He is a grown man. If he wants brain damage that is on him.

Byrd was build like that as an amateur. It's his natural size. He was juiced to the gills to become a heavyweight. His body has suffered from the effects of it. His physical problems are well documented.

I believe this is a guy named John Lewis and not Chris Byrd. Welsh has already fought him twice and this is the recent rubber match.

Here is video of their second fight. You can see how it appears to be the same guy fighting in the same style.

That guy looks nothing like him, he's much short and stockier than Byrd and he's boxing orthodox. Anyone who's watch Byrd fight can tell immediately that's him.

He looks like he could use some TRT. He has sarcopenic wasting like an elderly person.

Maybe it's not Lewis. But there also doesn't appear to be any concrete documentation that it was Chris Byrd either.

And until it's produced this is all just speculation. Over a week, and still nothing on boxrec:

You can see his face @ 1:01 of the video when he turns to his corner. That's Byrd.

A lot of fights don't make it to boxrec. The opponent doesn't have the fight listed on his record either.

The opponent posted about the fight on his facebook which included a weigh in photo. So there you go, confirmed.

You're 100% correct. My mental image of Byrd is stuck in the 2000's era

boxrec didn't waste time updating Ike Ibeabuchi's record.
