What's up with Joe Joyce?

I feel sorry for him. He's one of those fighters that's taken far to much punishment and shouldn't be fighting anymore. He's in journeyman territory now, I hoped he would have found something else to do for a job.

 

Do you really think no one has told him this ??? He's a grown man who makes his own decisions.

 

Quitting is not going out on your shield.

 

Listen, by your incredibly high standard then Joe is a quitter, but let’s also remember you’re the same guy who called Oscar De La Hoya limited and had Mikey Garcia down as a laughing stock after losing to Errol Spence. So maybe don’t dust off the Bert Sugar act over a throwaway line.

People labelled Dubois a quitter for pulling himself out, ironically against Joyce, and look at him now.

Point was obvious enough. Joyce looked shot, but at least he was in an actual fight, had a go, and had the awareness to know he was done, unlike McGregor rolling around like a bloke trying to find his Uber outside a nightclub after failing to land the crane.

 

Well it's a difficult subject. I take your point. If someone asked me if McClellan quit, I'd have a hard time saying he did but mainly because we know his brain was bleeding and he was dying at the time, it's hard to know what he was going through. He could have realised something wasn't right and that he needed a hospital.
