I don't like him in the slightest, I think he's a privileged, dirty coward of a fighter. That doesn't mean I won't recognize his achievements in the sport, even if I do think they're largely undeserved lol.

I saw the same interview. Usyk's team is also negotiating with Zuffa, first. And Rafael also said Usyk and Zuffa want that fight in the US. Everyone involved in the Zuffa negotiations believes the fight will be with Wilder in the US.

Wilder could also become the first Zuffa Heavyweight champion, which may or may not matter in the grand scheme of things.

This thread is interesting, but the standings are bound to switch around, as the situation unfolds. A thread like this would be more relevant when this era's fighters are retired.

When Roy Jones was 48-1 and coming off a heavyweight title win over John Ruiz, respected boxing people were saying Roy Jones was the second-best fighter all-time, and Joe Rein said Jones should be rated #1 above Ray Robinson.

Then Roy Jones ended up losing 10 fights. Nobody thinks that anymore.

Who knows how many losses Usyk will have by the time he leaves the ring. He doesn't seem like anyone who has any outside interests other than boxing. He could be one of those guys who just keeps fighting long after it's time to call it quits. Better fighters than him have done the same.

And who knows if Anthony Joshua will even have a better won-loss record than Audley Harrison when he hangs them up.

Still too early to know where they'll all shake out once their careers are finished.

But their peaks have all definitely passed them by, or are about there.

What they do after their peaks are over will impact their standings, too. No one is really immune.

Everything that happens from here on out is still the Post-Klitschko era.

The top 10 stood out with a solid point difference and I don't think that anything significant will change there.

There may be changes in the top 15, but I don't think that Hrgovic will enter the top 10.

Kabayel should probably be ahead of Wilder

 

1. Oleksandr Usyk - The Undersized King
2. Daniel Dubois - Miller, Hrgovic, Wardley, all unbeaten and primed, all by stoppage, punched Joshua up and down the ring in the Lions den, 2 Time Champion. Expect him to add even more to his resume.
3. Anthony Joshua - Best days way behind him. Better wins than the other champions from his era during his peak years, Whyte, Wlad, Povetkin, Pulev, Ruiz is enough for him to stay above Fury. Handed Number 2 and his chin on a platter to Dubois.
4. Tyson Fury - The big Wlad win accompanied with Wilder Whyte Chisora Wallin Mahkmudov isnt enough for the Top 3. Should have and could have strengthened his resume to make him a clear number 2 behind Usyk. Showed enough in Usyk 1 to say hes got something left. Still time to make 2nd his with wins over Dubois Kabayel Itauma etc
5. Joseph Parker - Fought everybody, solid enough wins for the top 5, Wilder Chisora, Zhang, Bakole, Ruiz, Former Champion.
6. Joe Joyce - Down in the dumps these days but pre Zhang, stoppage wins over Dubois and Parker alone separate him from the names below him, accompanied with Takam, Jennings, Stiverne puts him in this list at 6.
7. Dillian Whyte - Povetkin, Rivas, Parker, Browne, Chisora, Helenius, Franklin, enough to break the top 10 for sure.
8. Deontay Wilder - Avoided the best during his reign, lost vs anybody that was a genuine contender, best wins Luis Ortiz, Helenius, Breazeale, Stiverne. Long reigning Champion with lots of defences against fodder.
9. Andy Ruiz - Mollywhopped Joshua by stoppage during AJs peak, was unlucky not to get the nod vs Parker in New Zealand, Makes the Top 10 but let himself down after receiving the AJ payday with inactivity. Thin resume but deserves a spot in the 10.
10. Zhilei Zhang - Back to back Wins over the real juggernaut version of Joe Joyce, splattered Deontay Wilder, should have been given the nod vs Hrgovic. Just edges him the 10th spot.
11. Agit Kabayel - The real star out of Riyadh Seasons emergence. Newly crowned Champion. Zhang, Makhmudov & Frank Sanchez all by stoppage, sprinkle in a Chisora victory. Fully expect him to rise through this list.
12. Alexander Povetkin - Peak was during the Wlad era, still took enough name value wins since the Wlad loss to be in the top 15, the stand out being the assassination job on Dillian Whyte at his peak.
13. Fabio Wardley - The underdog. Clarke back to back havent aged well, the Huni win could but yet to be determined. He makes this list based on becoming World Champion and stopping Joseph Parker who was on a great run.
14. Derek Chisora - Way past his peak the past decade but that being said, his best wins name value wise have all come during this time period. Many believe he should have been given at least 1 Whyte & Parker victory. Joyce, Pulev, & Takam victories aswell as being competitive in his losses is enough for Top 15.
15. Filip Hrgovic - Outside of a questionable decision against Zhang, his best wins are Adeleye, Allen, punch drunk Joyce & Dempsey Mckean. If he was to be higher it would be based on expectation of him not the body of work. Could argue theres actually others with a better body of work but hes taken the 15th spot.
