Bugner cant' outpunch him and he can't out box him,so he loses a decision.

Pretty easy decision for JJW. There are levels to this game

    Hi Buddy.
Fair play, I respect your opinion as I respect all posters opinions, always have done, my thought process is that he withstood the punches of Shavers, Lyle, Frazier, and Ali, all weighing a lot more than Walcott, also as great as he was, Charles was stopped more than a few times, his chin was not concrete, unlike Bugners, my remarks were of the flippant variety, no put down intended.
    stay safe nyterpfan, chat soon.

Great points--you make a strong case for Bugner going the distance against JJW!

Bugner was on a different level than Walcott. Bugner was better then Abe Simon. Walcott had nothing for Abe Simon. The tallest opponent Walcott beat was Lee Murray and he threw the fight. Elmer Ray he barely won the trilogy. Louis without power was super close.

Walcott had power but it was land a highlight every few years sort of power. Ezzard Charles has as falliable a chin as any ATG HW. 3 out of 4 times distance. 2 out of 3 with Ray distance. Whole trilogy with Maxim distance. Walcott might have gotten more stops if fights lasted 12 or 15 instead 10 but usually in a close fight Walcott was the one who'd done better in the first half clinging to the lead.

Usually when Walcott landed a KD on a peer or better they got back up. There was never a fight where Walcott's power won him a fight he might have lost. Maybe Ray I. But that's what he'd need to beat Bugner.

    Hi Buddy
Appreciate your polite and friendly reply, dare I say it's a shame all correspondence and posts are not of this elk, sometimes I think an amount of forum members just want to argue and disrespect each other, instead of having good informative conversations, having an open mind, listening to what the other guy as to say, if he has a point, or if you feel his case has changed your perspective on the topic in question, then tell him so, there is discredit or shame in that, a lot of members seem ( well to me ) entrenched in what they think/believe, and will not countenance any other point of view, anyway just me rampling.
    stay safe buddy.
    Mike.

As always where he's concerned, it depends on which Bugner turns up.

JJW for me, although I am fan of Bugner,
I think JJ wins only by points by outboxing JB, would be a good fight for me to watch

I like Walcott by decision Bugner had that safety first peck and pie style, I can't see him doing a Richard Dunn to Walcott.
