Would Itauma be branded a fake champion if he wins a vacant belt until he beats Usyk?

    It’s not Itauma’s or any other fighters fault for that matter that Usyk dropped all the Belts ! I never thought I’d say this but as good as a run Usyk had in becoming Undisputed Cruiser and Heavyweight Champion should he fight again after dropping all the Belts it will be seen by many as Usyk ducking the mandatorys to the belts he had,again that’s no other fighters fault either !

    Itauma doesnt seem to be getting a big changing of the guard fight, a big early definitive win to start his reign.

    He will likely need to cement his status and legacy through long term form and class.

    He hasnt and probably wont. thats my point.

    He probably wont get Joshua, Usyk or Tyson.

    No, after completing boxing multiple times over and at nigh on 40 y/o after a career spent doing it the hard and most noble way, beating the top guys in 2 divisions in their backyards on a deck stacked against him and on the road and proving so many wrong and causing them still to this day a biblical tsunami of baba tears, and after finally realizing that Father Time waits for no man, even the GOAT, Usyk has vacated all the belts and is having one last dance before he sails off into the sunset hopefully with his 0 still in tact and it's time for the next generation to forge a new lineage and create their own legacies vs each other rather than rasping the remaining morsels of flesh of the old guard who would've spanked their asses way back in his prime when his skills and attributes were as sharp as theirs are now

    Usyk has nothing left to prove. Literally nothing. He's proven everything there is to prove amateur and pro against fighters in their primes not old men and checked every box and passed with flying colours and Moses and co have it all to prove still in front of them and the new king will be crowned once they have proven themselves worthy vs each other

    The division has to move on. Usyk is clear number 1 but if he's not fighting the other contenders, he can't be the measuring stick of if someone is a real champion

    I would be hella impressed if he beat Hrgovic. Itauma would be as real an alphabet champ as any.

    Lineal is not in his control. He doesn't have lineal and can't get it by beating Hrgovic.

    I personally think he'll swerve Sanchez like the goddamn bubonic plague after what he just did to southpaw Torrez. If he was scared of him before, he's probably giving him night sweats now.:lol:

    Until he gains universal recognition he would be just a title holder aka paper champion. Just like Dubois, Wardley, Martin, Stiverne, Terrell and a slew of other "champions".

    I mean if this knee theory is actually true which many posters banged on about then… Sanchez has dominated hype jobs before in Ajagba and Torrez.

    He did look really awful against Kabayel though.

    So what you saying? Itauma after he wins a belt has to go to Ukraine an challenged an beat Usyk in a street fighter to become a real champ? That don't make sense cos Gunn was still recognised as the official champ even though he lost the street fight to rocky. you can't win or lose a boxing title in a street fight

    I don't buy that in the slightest, because Kabayel would carve through Ajagba and Torrez is similar fashion. Sanchez has always had a kryptonite, which is pressure fighters who cut off the ring well. Torrez was starting to do the same thing to him as Agit, unfortunately for Torrez, he has a papier mache mandible.

    Did Floyd Patterson need to beat Marciano to be recognised as a world champion? The whole idea of a lineal champ is all a bit convoluted and silly these days imo. If Itauma wins a strap against a quality fighter, then he's a world champion. Simple as.
