How on earth did someone on his team not have his visa sorted out well in advance? I'm 100% confident that for any given country there are lawyers who handle these types of athletic competition visas regularly; wouldn't part of standard management of a fighter be hiring one of these guys early on?

Also, if he had an issue getting into Australia, he's going to have a problem with a lot of places. He should thank his lucky stars he's American and not stuck in some country with very few opportunities to fight on real cards.

 

It was his criminal record that stopped him from getting into Australia. They approve those things on a case by case basis.

 

Because boxing is a joke and run by idiots. Just unbelievable incompetence they made the fight and did even check if he was allowed in the country until it was time to board the plane. Christ.

 

Paulie needs to find a regular job to help fill up his time. As an analyst he is well spoken in an earthy, street-wise sort of way but he cannot manage to stay out of the ring. The man is going to end up punch drunk if he isn't very careful.

 

Not to mention, he just got stopped in bare-knuckle two months ago, against a guy with a 13-11 MMA record. In 2019, he lost in bare-knuckle to Artem Lobov, an MMA veteran who has more losses than wins. This guy doesn't belong anywhere near any kind of ring nowadays.

 

He's probably already on the broadcast as an analyst but agree with you, he shouldn't fight anymore.
