I hope the council tell them to **** off. If they don't I hope British fight fans do it instead. They're taking the ****. The fight is well past its sell by date but British fans will tune in. They shouldn't be asked to watch it in the small hours simply to maybe attract the attention of some bored fans across the world who really don't care about the fight in any case. If they can't make the numbers work then don't make the fight. I'd sooner it didn't happen than see everyone bending over backwards to accommodate these chancers.
Making the numbers work is up to the fighters. Nobody else really gets a say in this, if they decided to take less money and force particular conditions, they could do. It’s lost in all the Turki nonsense and forgetting who’s ultimately in charge. Egos running rampant in this one I suspect.
Saudi, innit? Saw some esports World Cup branding about associated with this, so maybe the fight will be some sort of intermission or main event to esports stuff without much other boxing or anything.
Hearn (on IFL the other day) seemed to think there are 12 undercard fights and basically confirmed Kelly / Agyarko, which you can bet on despite it not being announced. 8 days until fight week and no undercard for a PPV show - crazy!
Checked last night, no undercard fights listed. Even if Kelly and Hamsa are on it against knock overs in alpha fights, it’s a disgrace it’s on Premium. as are the Teófimo - Romero, Spence - Tszyu. However Clarissa Shields and Katy Taylor’s next outings are included in my humble bog standard subscription, how enticing, I don’t think!
Less than 2 weeks away and still no undercard provided, including on DAZN's site .... where they're still asking $59.99 for PPV ....
The Parker - Wardley undercard was pretty poor for a PPV (especially after Edmondson vs Taylor got postponed). Albeit a solid main event.
I've seen Prenga, and he is so slow and robotic. The first time AJ connects with his right hand, the fight is over. Kelly vs. Agyarko is a good fight, but the rest of the card is really bad. There isn't a single fight with any sporting value or interest. Who is going to pay for this ?
