Jack Dempsey vs. Gene Tunney I
In their first fight, Tunney won every round and completely neutralized Dempsey. I can't think of another championship fight in which the reigning world champion lost every single round and the fight still went the full distance.

 

Jeff Chandler - Richie Sandoval. That wasn't Chandler in there that night, what a mess. I'm not sure whether it was the rumored drug use or what, but he ended up getting a whooping and barely fought at all.

Do i see Saad Muhammad vs Qawi yet? Qawi put an absolute whooping on him despite being about a 7/1 underedog. Also, i think Qawi was the underdog vs Rossman? He whooped him too.

Benitez would have been favored over Mustafa Hamsho, but he barely won a round.

Wilfredo Gomez was a substantial favorite over Salvador Sanchez. Whilst the official scoring was close and Gomez hung reasonably tough, personally I though Sanchez bossed him quie a bit and always looked the winner after sitting him down 40 seconds into the fight. It was all uphill for Wilfredo, no matter how hard he tried.

Victor Galindez vs Mike Rossman 1, on the undercard for the Ali-Spinks rematch.

 

I realized Schmelling - Louis I was also an upset.

Louis was hot zhyt and Max was an old, little known underdog; but he studied Louis methodically and figured out his flaws.

People was expecting Louis to make short work of Max; instead got his punk azz schooled.

The rematch was a different story.

Well, he wasn't a little known underdog KB, just to put in context he was a former champ, and had fought some very good fighters including Max Bear, and Mickey Walker, plus Jack Sharkey for the title, but you are correct in that Louis was favoured to add Max to his culling of ex champs, as to the flaws, the one glaring flaw that Max honed in on, was that Joe would jab, then leave the arm extended for a fraction to long, leaving time for a overhand right, of which Max exploited time and again, the famous quote from Max in the run up to the fight was " I see something " if any of this is not so, then our resident historian @mcvey will correct me, in a gentle manner I would hope.

Alejandro Gonzalez vs Kevin Kelly …and what’s interesting is that it was part of an HBO double header …Lennox Lewis vs Oliver McCall was the other fight ….both of the featured fighters lost

 

Marlon Starling vs Lloyd Honeyghan was a one sided upset as well

 

Pac-man v Barrera was the first one in my mind.
And Hopkins - Trinidad. Both losers in those fights were on absolute tears.
