Your preference? I'll go with the cheek bone. Nose kills. Don't wanna get hit on the jaw either.

Forehead, worst case scenario it pops your chin up and looks big, but never hurts. Keeping chin tucked properly generally prevents that anyway.

How do you go taking shots to the nose?

It definitely hurts more than getting hit in other places with gloves on, but never has “hurt” in the sense that it wobbles me or causes lasting pain.

I’d say I prefer it to the few times I took a solid enough shot on the jaw/chin to cause that “static” feeling in the legs…

Temple is a curious one. I was only ever knocked down legitimately once in sparring (meaning not related to balance or something), temple shot. It turned my lights off for just a flash. I was awake before I hit the canvas, falling backwards watching my arms reach out in front of me… It was by a less experienced athlete too, who caught me on a day I was lackadaisical. I remember thinking, as I was falling “I can’t believe this ****!” Hahaha!

Nice. Funnily enough I did get jolted by a right hand on the cheekbone which sent me back a bit. I kept my footing but I had no control. The force and power of the punch did it. I had to tie him up. One more of those I reckon I would got dropped. He had 10kg on me. I did beat him though. It was a street fight 17 years ago lol.

Damn! Heavy puncher I take it? Or you just ate too much of it?

So the reason I specified nose shots hurt more WITH GLOVES ON, is because that changes with no gloves, or even pro fight gloves to a degree lol!

Cheekbone shots can definitely can sting without the amateur padding.

Yeah he hit hard. I got hit with a few shots after that or before I can't remember but they didn't do anything. Just that one right hand. It didn't hurt but the power jolted me.

    Yeah different gloves different things.

Best place to get hit is on the elbows.

Doesn't hurt at all and the other guy may have funked his hand up.

If I have to get hit, I prefer getting hit on the backside by the door as I’m leaving the gym, haha.

top of the head, but i am a sucker for a straight shot to the body and can usually take them--sometimes i get crippled by them though lol
