People get so defensive about Rocky's poor resume that they start making excuses that they don't apply to the fighters they don't like personally as much as Rocky. No one does this song and dance for Ricardo Lopez or Joe Calazghe.

Sometimes a boxer is born and fights during a time with their division is weaker. Its not their fault but its objectively true.

I'm certain that Marciano would have fought anyone,I think the very idea of avoiding a fighter would be anathema to him,I'm not so sure Al Weill his manager felt the same way?
