Current AJ vs Current Wilder

As shot as both are Deontey and AJ, Wilder now has better chance than he ever had.

 

As someone who picked Joshua against Wilder for years..... Wilder smashes him.

 

Wilder. He's actually shown improvement and the Chisora he beat would have stopped AJ tonight.

 

I now think Wilder would have won at least one of those fights back in 2018, if he had signed that deal. Power can put down AJ. That was true in 2018 and it's still true in 2026, now it might be easier than ever.

 

Wilder at any time in there careers always stops Joshua brutally !

 

Wilders the more overall declined fighter but the one area where Joshua is more declined is the most important area in that fight.

Wilder despite being annihilated by Zhang, still came back and was able to eat big shots from Chisora for 12 rounds. Joshua took a more sustained beating against Dubois and durability wise seems totally done for. was dropped by a seemingly light shot from an unknown and unproven puncher.

This fight even in their primes was always a matter of who lands first. In 2026 Joshua might land first but if he does and it doesn't immediately put Wilder out then Wilder's gonna fight back and likely put him out.

Joshua is beyond shot, but he was always by a very significant distance the better fighter.

Neither has much punch resistance left, but Joshua is the more likely to connect something.

I'd give any halfway decent puncher a chance against Joshua. And Wilder still has a good punch when he can pull the trigger.

 

Can’t believe I’m saying this. It’s been a long time since I’ve favored Wilder in this match up but for the first time in 4 years, I think the pendulum has swung back his way.

 

"Deontay Wilder improved" is a wild take from watching his fight with Chisora.

He was fighting a guy that couldn't move, a literal punching bag for 12 rounds and Wilder still struggled to land and throw.

The truth about the Chisora fight is the complete opposite, Wilder is even worse, because now we've witnessed the fact his power has gone completely. That's all he ever had....He beat Chisora based purely on the miles on Chisora's clock. 12-24 months before, and Chisora beats Wilder.
