Honestly not really arsed of they do or they don't. They should have fought yesterday, now the fights looks even more past it's sell by date

 

You are probably correct with the direction of this Care Home contest.

The one issue I have is that I have always stated, along with many other shrewd posters on this forum, that Joshua's career was carefully staged and managed fighting small and/or old men, due to his vulnerabilities first showing up in round 2 of the Whyte fight 11 years ago.

Whyte caught him and he took nearly 2 rounds to recover from what was an average power punch. The same issue resurfaced in the Klitschko fight. Any decent fighter wipes him out with such poor punch resistance.

A defeat was coming but I did not expect Andy Ruiz to do it on 5 day's notice and in such poor shape.

The Dubois obliteration was a long time coming and would have happened much earlier in his career if he took the fight with Wilder within 2 years of beating Klitschko.

Fair play to him for fighting through last night but he is going to be badly hurt should he fight any live dog now with such poor punch resistance.

 

I think it will happen and it could possibly even be a trilogy to con the public out of the maximum dough possible. After seeing that last night it wouldn’t surprise me if the outcomes are totally rigged: AJ win, Fury win, draw.

If Turki had any dignity he’d do as suggested here and reduce his offer for the fight. In football terms it’s like a club agreeing a £50m fee for a player ahead of the January window, seeing that player suffer an injury and look poor on his return and so the club revises its offer to £30m.

 

Fury comes out of this weekend an overwhelming favourite despite looking shot to pieces himself.

Add to this Fury will have the upper hand in the mental warfare and Joshua's exacerbated self-doubt.

It's been a disastrous two fights for the PR of this fight. It shouldn't happen, I certainly won't go out of my way to see it. Pure money grab.

 

Classic case of what happens when you ‘marinate’ a fight, even in each’s last fight.

My production is one gets an injury so the other takes an interim fight and then the other needs a warm up fight etc etc.

 

Fury at 18 stone doesn't knock out AJ or anyone else. Not sure Turki wants to pay £100m for a poor man's repeat of Fury-Klitschko either.

I'd love for it to happen and absolutely bomb, loads of balls ups along the way, both of them making fools of themselves in the pressers, lavish marketing all going wrong, the Fury clan getting into trouble, a few of them chinned, even the kids, sod it.

 

Even before the farce of AJs and Fury's last fights, I said that AJ vs Fury never happens.

Fury is never going to risk his legacy against AJ for financial gain. AJ is being wheeled around and pushed into the ring at this point against his will, it does not even look like he wants to be there. Looks like he is on anti-depressants.

Not a chance this happens. The potential of the fight though justifies both men facing washed up bums for a retirement package.

Some fighters like Conman Benn, have based an entire career off such a strategy. So you cannot begrudge AJ and Fury doing this when they are shot to **** and looking to make some easy money.

 

I think it's because Tyson basically told him to suck his balls after True Geordie dared to criticise the third Chisora fight.

The best result for the sport would probably be for both of them to turn down the $100 million-plus they're likely due to receive and call it quits. But it looks as though the contracts are signed and the promotion cycle has already started.

It's strange how these fighters seem oblivious to what happened to two of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport, both of whom carried on for the money long after they should have walked away.

EDIT : Ironically, if the fight lands on Netflix, Turki will likely be underwriting a circa $50 million loss.

 

Well latest is both want another tune up.

Fury to face Tom Dallas in November and AJ to face Lamah Griggs also November (top 50 UK ranked!) and active, AJ taking a real test 3-13 opponent.

Providing both win more discussions will resume, fight options above also subject to Fury then facing Griggs and AJ in a meaningful fight with Dallas.

AJ v Fury COULD be made for Autumn 2028, fans have to be patient these guys are putting their lives on the line and anything can happen in HW boxing both need to prepare for a major fight, under the lights, getting their hands wrapped and experiencing the press and ringwalks.
