No, context matters. Noone even mentioned Holme's win over Ali, for example.

I am not going to answer this point by point, because, yeah, a lot of good wins have context. Few are as stark as looking at Douglas walk in the ring with the jelly in his breasts.

Holyfield was less past his prime than Tyson was.
Tyson was coming off a prison stint where he did not ply his trade. He fought just a few rounds in total during his comeback. He was shadow of his former self. On the other hand Holyfield was bigger than ever and battle tested.

Nope. Tyson was big since he was a teenager, he did not need steroids to get big like Holyfield did.

Bowe did little outside beating Holyfield. It's a huge leap to favor him over huge punchers when he never fought any or a good opponent significantly bigger than himself.

What makes you think Bowe would fight them to begin with

So now you're adding losses to one's resume ?!?? o_O
Resume means people you beat, not people you fought.:duh

He lost twice to Bowe and might have also lost all 3 if not for the "Fan Man" incident.
    Douglas was overweight.
    Moorer also beat Holyfield.
He only beat Tyson once, the 2nd time Tyson was DQ'd. And Tyson was a shell of himself.
He lost both times to Lewis.

    Elaborate?

How can wins over Foreman and Mike have been MEANINGLESS?

    Don’t be ridiculous.

If you don’t rate wins over past prime fighters, then how on earth can Usyk have a better resume, when it mostly consists of wins over Fury and AJ, both of whom were past prime?

Lennox has a very good resume. But we could say that most of his biggest wins were against past prime fighters.

Nobody would rank Usyk’s HW resume over Evander’s.

    It’s absolutely laughable.

Cause Foreman was in his 40s and Tyson was washed up, a shell of himself.

    Neither was past prime.

Bowe went toe to toe with fighters who aren't Lewis.

Getting his future kids punched into oblivion by Golota make me think that a prime Bowe ain't running from faded versions of AJ and Fury or an inexperienced Dubois who moves in straight lines with no headmovement.

Foreman beat Moorer afterwards, who was a credible fighter.

He also should have beaten Briggs.

Yes, Foreman wasn’t great in the 90’s.

However, it wasn’t a meaningless win.

    That is a gross exaggeration.

Yes, we all know about Mike. I was one of his biggest fans.

    However, he still looked dangerous.

He blew through Bruno, and he was a clear favourite over Evander.

You are being completely disrespectful saying that beating a 30 year old Mike was meaningless.

You are not debating in good faith.

No, AJ and Tyson were not prime.

How can you completely dismiss a win over Mike, but then claim that Tyson Fury was prime?

    Shameful.

Tyson had destroyed his body after Wlad, where he had a long time out.

He then had 3 fights with Wilder, which clearly took something out of him.

Usyk did not fight a prime Tyson Fury.

    You know that he didn’t.

    AJ?

AJ was never the same after the Ruiz defeat, and he fell apart to Dubois just after fighting Usyk.

    Usyk is a great fighter.

However, he’s fought less than 10 HW’s in his career.

He’s beaten past prime versions of AJ, Fury and Chisora, and he has 2 wins over Dubois.

Apply your same level of thinking/criteria.

Although it’s very respectful, he cannot have a better HW resume than Evander Holyfield.

For all intents, I reckon I'm older than you and when we've always talked about a fighter's résumé, it's always been who you fought.

Who you beat and the context of the win is a separate discussion - you cannot conflate them.

You're bringing up the excuses and it's been done in the past to you when boosting Tyson as a clear illustration of the double-standard - you can't do it to Evan and not do it to Usyk.

Simply put and if you really want to be technical about it then:

A win against Dokes, Tillis, Thomas, Douglas, Bowe, Tyson (twice!), Moorer, Mercer, Ruiz, Oquendo >>>>> AJ twice, Fury twice, Dubois twice, Chisora and Rico.

A fighter's resume for me is who they fought and how they fared, with context throughout. Losses and wins are included and weighed up in a resume, certainly for me.

Context is ranking, what career stage the opponent was at, what career stage the fighter was at, etc.

A win list is different for me, as is a who they fought with wins and losses disregarded.

Holyfield’s resume is littered with losses, excuses, and steroids. I don’t think very highly of it.

He was a former CW who fought:

    Bowe x 3
    Tyson x 2
    Lennox x 2
